Jayvyn is a
big and
strongbuild boy with a long body and tail. And also a sweet temper. We
love his great muzzle and chin. Many thanks to our friend Lara Lindenthaler for this
wunderfull boy.
Polydactyl means having
one or more extra toes at one or more paws.The Poly-Coons have even
bigger paws than the 'ordinary' Coon.You could even say that they have
hands,and this makes it very easy for them to climb in and out of
trees and to catch things with their paws.In the beginning 30 to 40 %
of the Maine Coon was polydactyl, but these days it's much less common.Some
people just don't like it and some people even see it as an genetic
defect.That is why you cannot take your Poly-Coon to a catshow and
some catclubs even forbid breeding with Poly-Coons.We think that the
Polydactyl Maine Coon should exist next to the 'ordinary' Maine Coon,
just like in the early days,so that is why we breed our poly's.
